Made a new dish last night when I was supposed to be studying! but don’t worry, the calorie rush gave me enough energy to go on studying with only 1 hour of sleep!
I have read about the famous Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich so I researched recipezaar for recipes. I found one that was easy to make so I bought the ingredients.
I found steak used for sandwiches but it was a whopping 350 pesos per kilo! I couldn’t afford that! It was a sizable chunk of my grocery budget! So I substituted with soft tapa steak instead.
I think it was an improvement and cheaper on the budget!
You will need:
1 bottle cheeze whiz
1 white onion
1 can chopped mushrooms
tapa. Make sure that this is chopped into sandwich style pieces.
1 roll french bread.
Fry the tapa until cooked. Don’t cook too much or else it will become tough!

Next, fry the mushrooms and onions until they are tender or the onions become clear.

Cut a generous size portion of the frenchbread. Cut in half and with your finger make a depression in the bottom half of the bread to make a little “bowl”. fill with tapa and mushrooms/onions

Here comes the fun part: making the cheese sauce!
1. Open the chiz whiz and microwave it for 10-15 seconds in the microwave on HIGH.

2. Pour on the sandwich. DEVOUR!!

mouth-watering…. gotta try this one. what kind of tapa did you use? i find the usual packed tapa too cloying…matamis sya masyado para na cyang tocino.

I got it from the chicken station in waltermart. Yung hindi frozen. Just experiment find a tapa that you like.
I was searching for a good chicken sandwich recipe when I came across your cheesesteak recipe. I must give you 10 pts for presentation -well presented! Pic alone will make you crave for it though I must say I’ll leave out the cheezwhiz if I’ll try it so it’ll be just tapa with mushroom sandw
